XtraTherm LTD

Xtratherm LTD was founded back in 1986. Xtratherm Ltd manufactures and distributes insulation materials. The Company markets its products to construction companies and retail building materials outlets throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom. Xtratherm Insulation aims to achieve quality and perfection in all parts of their company, by trying so they show consumers and partners that they give “more than insulation.” Xtratherm is a people-focused company as many of its employees have over 20 years of experience, and with that experience comes expertise.

Xtratherm owns and manages two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the United Kingdom and Ireland, ensuring a steady supply of insulation products. Majority of the market needs are satisfied no matter how big the project is. They are knowledgeable in the field and provide a quality product by being so. By being a leading thermal insulation manufacturer, with factories in Ireland and the UK, Xtratherm offers the construction industry a range of innovative solutions, encompassing roofs, walls, and floors.

PARTIAL FILL WALL INSULATION

Partial fill cavity features thermal insulation secured to the inner steel or timber framing system, leaving a cavity of air between the insulation and the outer part of the masonry. The cavity between the insulation and the outer leaf performs as a barrier to external moisture, preventing it from entering into the inner construction. In addition to thermal properties, fire performance of insulation materials is a crucial consideration, when the building is to have high occupancy levels or have vulnerable occupants.

Cavity Wall 360 is a product sold by Xtratherm and is a partial filled, bio-enhanced wall insulation system. The system has a validated Lambda of 0.020 W/mK and includes durable facings, engineered jointing details, and pre-formed corners. Cavity Wall 360 is an eco-friendly option for passive and low-energy construction. In a typical cavity wall, it may reach a Passive U-Value of 0.15 W/m2K. When using Cavity Wall 360 to construct a structure, a residual cavity is retained, providing great protection from climate issues.

FULL FILL WALL INSULATION

Full-fill built-in solutions are fitted as the walls are being constructed and can be used in a variety of structures. The biggest surface area through which heat may escape is a home’s walls, which account for around 60% of the heat lost in an uninsulated house. Insulation wool is blown into the cavity through a series of small holes drilled in the outer wall.

An engineered system providing added resilience against increases in issues caused by climate changes, CavityTherm 360 is a product sold by Xtratherm which is a bio-enhanced high performance composite board of enhanced PIR with a Lambda value as low as 0.020 W/mK for full fill cavity wall applications.

CavityTherm 360 offers all of the unique benefits of full fill built-in wall insulation systems along with pioneering environmentally sensitive features.

When built into a traditional 110-150mm cavity using standard foundation widths, building skills and local materials CavityTherm 360 achieves U-Values down to 0.12 W/m2K. Not only does CavityTherm 360 provide the best U-value to wall-width ratio, but is also highly cost effective when compared with alternative solutions.

PITCHED ROOF INSULATION

When looking to insulate a pitched roof there’s 2 different methods: warm and cold insulation. In short, Cold insulation is the cheapest form of roof insulation, It’s easy to do as a DIY project. It only prevents the heat escaping your home (the loft space will be uninsulated). On the other hand Warm Insulation’s reduce heat losses and controls the retention as to not get too hot during the summer. Key thing to remember is Warm roof insulation’s need ventilation to allow condensation and help prevent moisture from building up.

ECO360 MA is a product sold by xtratherm for pitched roofs, it offers excellent insulation performances with a thermal conductivity of 0.020 W/mK. Using modern environmentally aware technology, ECO360 MA in roof applications reduces heat loss while also providing brilliant thermal bridging details. This bio-enhanced insulation is lightweight, easy to install, and provides a high-performance roof insulation solution by combining high compressive strength with low heat conductivity. ECO360 MA has no halogens. The packaging for the product is biodegradable, and the overall packing material has been

Buy Ceresit CT 84 polyurethane adhesive

Ceresit CT 84 polyurethane adhesive Ceresit CT 84 polyurethane adhesive is used for fixing expanded polystyrene boards in complex Ceresit Ceretherm systems for insulation of external walls of buildings (ETICS). Ceresit CT 84 is used for fixing foamed polystyrene boards when insulating newly erected buildings as well as those undergoing thermorenovation. After approx. 2 hours since application, foamed polystyrene boards can be sanded, doweled, and then made with a mesh reinforced layer using Ceresit CT 85, CT 87 or ZU mortar. Ceresit CT 84 polyurethane adhesive is also used for fixing materials such as EPS and XPS foam and hard mineral wool to substrates such as: wood, OSB, glass, bitumen, ceramic brick, concrete, coated and galvanized sheet, dry cellular concrete and after exposure to water, gypsum plasterboard and for layered bonding of foamed polystyrene boards and mineral wool under normal and reduced temperatures, also in thermal insulation systems. How to Reduce Noise Using Underlay

Sound can travel through liquids, solids or gases making it one of the biggest nuisances for every home. Underlay can reduce acoustic noises, underlay reduces sound from travelling from one place to another. Underlay also dramatically improves sound and heat insulation, underlay can help cut your energy bills helping reduce costs and provide comfort to your home, it’s the best investment you can make long term for your home.   How Can Underlay Reduce Sound and Loud Noises? There are lots of different materials that can be used for sound reduction, all with their own list of benefits. Some materials that are effective are foam and sponge, used as underlay they can reduce sound waves, you can purchase foam and sponge underlay from us at InsulationBee.co.uk . These materials will protect your flooring above and do a great job at sound reduction.   What is Impact Noise Reduction? Impact noise is sound when two surfaces collide, and it is exactly what unde...
One of the more common complaints about houses with poor build quality is noise transfer, both from outside sources but in particular between the rooms in the house itself. Poor acoustics is something that could, and should, be considered at the design stage of a project. Sound transmission between homes, is a major problem in the UK which requires serious consideration from both architects and builders. Noise nuisance can be a serious cause of stress, and if not remedied it can affect our health and wellbeing as well as influencing everyday life.   What Does Soundproofing Do? To soundproof a home means to lower the intrusion of external noise, while also insulating it so noise cannot escape the space. In many cases acoustic insulation is used to prevent any noise from outside interfering with the residents within. This could be anything from voices, nearby building works or high lev...
